Visitors from suburbs including Rathmines, Ballsbridge, Ranelagh, Donnybrook, Sandymount, Rathgar, Terenure, Clontarf, Drumcondra, and Phibsborough can easily reach us via public transport or car. Journey times typically range from 15-30 minutes.
Limited street parking is available on surrounding streets (metered, 2-hour maximum). Several public car parks are located within 5-10 minutes walking distance including Dawson Street Car Park, Drury Street Car Park, and St. Stephen's Green Car Park.
We welcome visitors from throughout Ireland and internationally. Dublin is well-connected by road, rail, and air. The museum is approximately 30 minutes from Dublin Airport by car or Aircoach, and within easy reach of Connolly and Heuston railway stations.
We regularly host school groups from Dublin and surrounding counties including Wicklow, Kildare, Meath, and Louth. Coach parking can be arranged with advance notice. Our education team can provide guidance on planning logistics for school visits.
Our facility is fully accessible to wheelchair users and visitors with mobility challenges. The building features step-free access, elevators to all floors, accessible restrooms, and designated seating areas. Accessible parking is available at nearby car parks.
